Joe's working overtime out of Paso Robles for three weeks. Sharday and I are in the hotel with him for most of each week, but we head home for medical appointments and, this weekend, my Great Uncle Gifford and Aunt Marrion's 50th wedding anniversary.
Last night Joe got off work after a mere 10 hours, leaving enough evening to journey 40 minutes to the coast at Cayucos. We decided to celebrate paying off the car with a nice Italian dinner. The Chicken Marsala was phenomenal, and the stars were especially bright on the dark drive "home." Draco was out. And the Milky Way. When it's not foggy, it seems seaside air is exceptionally clear. It's all that wind, I suppose - the breeze that made my daughter cold.
Yes, her outfit makes her look like a boy. It was the warmest we had with us. I've been looking for cute little hair things for babies, but I must be checking the wrong departments. Surely between Sears and Target I ought to be able to decorate my child's head, declaring to the world her femininity.
